Pulled Pork Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 lb. Pork Roast
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • Water
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Frank’s Meat Sauce (Traditional, Extra Garlic or Jalapeño)
  • Hamburger Buns

Place pork roast into roasting pan.

Rub or sprinkle pork roast with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Add water up to 1/3 of the height of the roast in the pan.

Place sliced onion on and around pork roast.

Cover with pan lid or foil.

Cook at 350°F for 3 hours, or until tender all the way through. (If water cooks off before meat is done, add more water before pan is dry.)

Remove roasting pan from oven to cool.

When roast can be handled, remove from pan and place on cutting board.

Slice meat across grain in 1 to 1 1/2 in. slices.

Whatever is your preference, shred meat slices into small pieces or pull grain texture with a fork. (At this point, meat can be placed in a freezer bag and frozen for later use.)

Place shredded meat in crock pot, set on low, and add 1 bottle of Frank’s Meat Sauce. Stir until all the meat is coated.

Cook until hot, stirring occasionally.

Serve on hamburger buns.
